Sandy Denny & The Strawbs
LEGEND surrounds this alliance between the first lady of British folk and the much-loved Strawbs, which many now think of as the original British rock-folk album.

It’s an endearing yet strange mix of Denny’s ethereal, fluting voice and melancholy material and The Strawbs’ more knockabout folk.

Songs such as Who Knows Where The Time Goes and Tell Me What You See In Me are flawless while the original album with out-takes and unreleased demos make it perfect for all music fans.

The Express - VERDICT 4/5
Joan Jett - At the 100 Club

Joan Jett is mesmerizing, a consummate performer and musician who can still rock out with the best of them Distorted magazine review of the 100 club show - published 16/06/2010

As she led the charge into a singalong of ''I love Rock''n''Roll'', which has been her calling card for almost 30 years, Jett denied her fans not a milligram of the simple, unthreatening pleasure the song can bring, emitting a series of fabulous yowls. She was a sound performer, a hearty singer, and she had a vital quality, which we rarely associate with rock - decorum. -
The Daily Telegraph review of the 100 club show - published16/06/2010

Why did we ever care about Courtney Love when we had Joan Jett? She''s been missing from this country for too long

RSK Digital
RSK has taken time to assess the digital needs of many of its labels and has evolved a unique proposition, at once complementary to its physical service, in which it can offer a full digitisation, encoding, storage and delivery solution, with optional rights deals with Digital Music Services, leaving labels free to both opt into RSK frontline deals and/ or pursue their own, all serviced and delivered by RSK.

The offer is unique, firstly, in that RSK has direct contracts with its Digital Music Services, i.e. there is no aggregator such as IODA or The Orchard sitting in the middle, which means we have an unparalleled control of our activity and one which mirrors our physical distribution service. Very simply we talk to and deliver into iTunes and eMusic directly in exactly the same way as we do HMV or Zavvi.

Secondly, in separating the service side of our digital solution from rights deals, our partners both own and control their digital inventory, which is not the case in other ‘aggregation’ deals where encoding, storage (of those digital files), delivery and rights are blurred into the same one margin based agreement. Here the intellectual content may be the property of the rights holder, but the physical digital files and encodes are not, meaning any change of situation requires re-encoding from scratch.

Consolidated Independent is RSK’s service company and, as the service company behind Beggars Group, BBC Audiobooks, Demon Music Group, Epitaph, Gut, Matador and Ministry of Sound to name a few, provides a premier league service for digitisation and, perhaps most importantly, perfectly interfaced and effortless delivery into either RSK’s DMS contracts, or those of the labels concerned themselves. CI is the digital equivalent of Arvato on our physical side, or ‘major company pick, pack and ship’!

In short RSK Digital offers:
  • A level of focus and attention not to be found in large aggregators
  • Ownership and control of your digital inventory
  • The leading independent encoding and delivery company in the form of CI
  • Frontline contracts with Digital Music Services parallel to the contracts with physical music retailers
  • Direct access to leading DMS: iTunes (worldwide), eMusic, MusicNet (now MediaNet Digital), 7 Digital, Tune Tribe, MusicBrigade and more
  • Transparent accounting, separating encoding services from rights income
  • Freedom to manoeuvre, change and control your digital future
