Sandy Denny & The Strawbs
|
LEGEND surrounds this alliance between the first lady of British folk and the much-loved Strawbs, which many now think of as the original British rock-folk album.
It’s an endearing yet strange mix of Denny’s ethereal, fluting voice and melancholy material and The Strawbs’ more knockabout folk.
Songs such as Who Knows Where The Time Goes and Tell Me What You See In Me are flawless while the original album with out-takes and unreleased demos make it perfect for all music fans.
The Express - VERDICT 4/5

Joan Jett - At the 100 Club
|
Joan Jett is mesmerizing, a consummate
performer and musician who can still rock out with the best of
them
Distorted magazine review of the 100 club show - published
16/06/2010
As she led the charge into a singalong of
''I love Rock''n''Roll'', which has been her calling card for almost 30 years, Jett
denied her fans not a milligram of the simple, unthreatening pleasure the song
can bring, emitting a series of fabulous yowls. She was a sound performer, a
hearty singer, and she had a vital quality, which we rarely associate with rock
- decorum. - The Daily Telegraph review of the 100 club show -
published16/06/2010
Why did we ever care about Courtney Love
when we had Joan Jett? She''s been missing from this country for too long

RSK Classical
|
|
RSK Classical is a dedicated division focussed purely on marketing, selling and promoting the releases from RSK''s enviable roster of classical labels - long-term label partners include Supraphon, Channel Classics, Linn Records, Zig-Zag Territoires, NMC, Toccata Classics, Divine Art, Marquis and Metier.
Focus and attention for our labels - unlike many distribution companies we choose to represent fewer labels so that we can properly focus on our priorities during the all important pre-sell period.
At the heart of RSK Classical is the Classical Club, a dealership comprising over 40 of the UK''s classical independent shops, mail-order and online retailers. Club members help to support RSK''s monthly priority releases by automatically receiving agreed quantities - this guarantees plenty of coverage with these key stores. In return club members receive preferential file discount terms on all RSK orders, and regular tags in advert placed in Gramophone, BBC Music Magazine and Classic FM Magazine, plus regular boxes of promotional material like catalogues, leaflets and posters.
RSK Classical has close relations with HMV, Zavvi and the other national accounts, plus the increasingly important online accounts, all of which receive regular monthly sales and marketing presentations
We also understand how important concerts are to your artist, and we are happy to arrange concert sales and signing sessions.
Classical PR RSK Classical offers dedicated public relations packages for the UK press and media. Alongside those all important reviews we work hard to increase label and artist profiles in the UK through editorial coverage, interviews, and airplay on Classic FM and the BBC. Because we control much of the publicity in-house we can inform retail instantly when any reviews are printed - which means our labels don''t lose sales opportunities.
Examples of our PR results can be found here http://www.rskentertainment.co.uk/whatsnew2.asp , including information on the 3 Gramophone awards and 2 BBC Awards that our labels received in 2007. |
